ASHLAND, WI — In the early hours of October 14, 2023, two lives were tragically cut short by a violent act. At approximately 2:32a, Law Enforcement rushed to respond to a 911 call reporting gunshots in the vicinity of Dollar Tree, located at 314 Lakeshore Dr E.
According to a press release from the Ashland Police Department, Officers responded to a 911 call where the caller reported hearing gunshots by Dollar Tree, in the City of Ashland.
Upon arrival, Officers discovered two deceased males with gunshot wounds, lying in the alley behind the original call location.
A person of interest was located near the scene and was subsequently arrested.
Police say that this appears to be an isolated incident and that there is no indication of further danger to the public.
Authorities added that this is an ongoing investigation in coordination with the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation, the Wisconsin State Crime Lab, and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
