SAWYER COUNTY (DrydenWire) - The Court has sentenced 54-year-old Peter LaRonge, of Chicago, IL (formerly of Hayward, WI), on a conviction of child sexual assault.
LaRonge received criminal charges in 2023 in Sawyer County Circuit Court after allegations that he sexually assaulted child victims between 2011 and 2022, and again in 2024 after additional information came forth that he sexually assaulted a third victim between 2011 and 2019.
A jury trial was scheduled in August 2025 regarding the charges against LaRonge; however, he entered a plea of No Contest to one count of 1st Degree Child Sexual Assault - Sexual Contact With a Child Under Age 13 under a settlement agreement that closed out both cases, and he has now been sentenced.
