Zonnie Dale Strandlund Age 86, of Rice Lake, WI, died Sunday, August 7, 2022 in Rice Lake.

He was born on June, 20, 1936 to Algot and Beda (Lodin) Strandlund.

Zonnie graduated from Mora High School in Mora, MN in 1953, Northland College and St. Cloud State College with a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling in 1972. Zonnie enjoyed boxing and also coaching Golden Gloves boxers, pontooning & enjoying the lake with his family and friends. He was Dean of Campus for WITC in Rice Lake for many years.

He is survived by his 2 grandchildren, Sara Strandlund and Brad Strandlund.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Jean Strandlund; a son, Mikel Strandlund; and a daughter, Kimberly Strandlund.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday September 10, 2022 from 1-3PM at the Rice Lake Elk’s Lodge, 36 E Eau Claire St, Rice Lake.

Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is handling the services for the family.
