In Memory of William P. Seeger

September 18, 1956 - September 22, 2023

William "Willy" Pearl Seeger, 67, of Cumberland passed away on September 22, 2023 at his home.

He was born September 18, 1956 in Cumberland, WI to Millian and Pauline (Bowers) Seeger.

Willy grew up in the Turtle Lake area. He began working at the onion factory in Rice Lake, where he met Marlene Carpenter. The two married on June 9th, 1979. Together they moved to Cumberland, where they raised their four children, Jeannine, Andy, Becky, and Henry.

For years Willy entertained many hobbies, including bowling, softball, fishing, golfing, hunting, cooking, and dancing (he was particularly known to do "The Willy Shuffle"). He was a collector, an avid reader, and lover of all music, having eclectic taste. He enjoyed playing cards and cribbage, and took his pool league very seriously. He loved Westerns, Classic TV, and sports.

Though he shared these many passions with friends, it was the relationships he built while doing so that really meant most to him. He was a man who loved to share jokes, stories, and proud moments about his family. There were few people he couldn't call a friend or lending a helping hand to.

Willy is survived by wife, Marlene; children: Jeannine (Jamie), Andrew (Alethea), Rebecca, and Henry (Rachel); 12 grandchildren; grandson-in-law; siblings: Morris (Leslie), Janell (Jim) McRoy, and Sandy Hammond (Kevin); many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death parents, Millian and Pauline Seeger; brother, Phillip Seeger; and grandson, Caleb Zook.

Celebration of Life will be head from 1-5 PM on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at the American Legion in Cumberland. A time of remembrance will be held at 2 PM.

Skinner Funeral Home of Cumberland is serving the family.
