William (Bill) Louis Pfannes, age 84 passed away on June 25, 2024 at Christian Community Home in Osceola, WI.

Born to Valentine & Mary (Metz) Pfannes in Amery WI on September 25th 1939.

He went to Centuria school. After School, he worked for Lau family farm before going into the Army for 2 years. Married Florence Mary McKenzie on July 11, 1964 and had one son, Bruce. After the Army, he worked for Soderberg Hardware for over 20 years in Dresser, WI as a master plumber. He then started a business with his son Bruce as B & B Plumbing and Heating for 17 years before retiring.

Bill enjoyed being a brakeman and engineer for the Minnesota Transportation Museum that runs the excursion train in Osceola. He enjoyed helping Bruce on his farm over the years. Bill was also on the fire department in Dresser for 20+ years, and served as Chief for 3 years.

Survived by son Bruce; brother in laws; sister in laws; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brothers Peter, Jacob, an James; and sisters Mary, Rita, Gertrude and Anna.

Wake will be on Monday, July 1, 2024 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Osceola, WI.

Burial will be on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM at VA cemetery in Spooner, WI.
