In Memory of William C. Clark


September 12, 1941 - October 16, 2023

William “Bill” C. Clark, 82, of Turtle Lake, WI passed away on Monday, October 16 at Cedar Creek Manor in Kronenwetter, WI after a long illness.

Bill was born on September 12, 1941, to Theodore and Gladys Clark in New Richmond, WI. He graduated from Turtle Lake High School in 1960 and immediately joined the US Army in the 85th Quartermaster Corps. He married Lois Ann Kolba in 1964 and they raised 4 children together.

Bill was a dairy farmer for 15 years. He especially enjoyed working his fields of corn, hay, and sorghum. After he left farming, Bill went back to school to become a licensed butcher and worked as one at County Market in Hudson, WI until his retirement. Bill loved to spend time outdoors, especially if it meant hunting or fishing. He took several trips to Canada over the years to fish with his brothers and enjoyed teaching his children to hunt. Bill also made multiple trips to Yellowstone National Park to enjoy the scenery and to watch the wildlife.

Bill is survived by his children; Connie (Greg) Koch, Wanda Clark, Chester (Heather) Clark, and Aaron (Erin) Clark; grandchildren Jamie Koch, Steven Koch, Kimberly Hudson, Isabelle Hudson, Micah Clark, Daniel Clark, Bunni Clark, Isaiah Clark, Josef Clark, and Ivy Clark; great-grandchildren Jace Koch, Avery Koch, and Emmitt Koch; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore M. Clark and Gladys (Newville) Buchholz; siblings Phyllis (Clark) Annis, Theodore “Ted” Clark, and JoAnn (Clark) Yeske; half-siblings Frederick “Sonny” Buchholz, Glen Clark, and Scott Clark; daughter, Shirley Clark and grandson, Austin Hudson.

Visitation will be at 10am Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church in McKinley, WI with the service to follow at 11am with Pastor Diane Norstad officiating. Burial will be in McKinley cemetery with lunch served following the service.
