Wilbur (Bill) McGrorty of St Croix Falls Wisconsin, age 82, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023.

Wilbur was born to Marcus and Phyllis McGrorty, in Minneapolis, on June 13th, 1941. He was very close to his brothers and sisters (Dorothy, Mary Lou, Mike, Mark) and talked often about growing on Ivy lane in Minneapolis. He joined the Marie Corp in 1959 and served in the Eastern part of the world. On May 25th, 1963, Wilbur married Kathy Draus and was blessed with 2 children, Vic and Kelly.

Wilbur and Kathy owned multiple businesses throughout their lives: DX gas station, McGrorty's Auction Service, McGrorty's Flea Market, River Rats Discount Store. Wilbur also worked at Foley Food Mill, Chicago Northwestern Railway, Christ The King Church, Kroy/UFE at various points in his life.

Wilbur loved to make people laugh and made countless friends. His hobbies included fishing, golf, cribbage, cards and visiting with friends and family.

Wilbur's greatest achievements in life are 60 years of marriage and 50 years of sobriety and helping others. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, The American Legion, announcing car races in Centuria. AA Meetings and helping others achieve sobriety.

Wilbur will be forever missed by his children; Vic and Kelly, his grandchildren; Collin, Cory, Andy, Grace, and great grandchildren; Frankie, Emmie, Finnegan, Josie and Ellie and his little buddy Irish (Golden retriever).

Wilbur is now reunited in Heaven with his loving wife Kathy.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later time.
