In Memory of Wayne O. Giller
Wayne Oliver Giller, born on June 25, 1956, left this world on November 25, 2023, at the age of 67. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and cherished him.
Wayne was the beloved son of Oliver and Louella Giller, both of whom preceded him. He is survived by his siblings: Charlotte Anderson, Lorraine Korts, and Cheryl Hart. Wayne's legacy continues through his children: Nicholas, Krista, Jeremy, Rená, Trevor, and Julie, as well as his grandchildren Azilee, Oliver, and Hazel.
Wayne touched the lives of many, including dear friends Shirley Barenz, Melonie Mack, Tanya Mack, and Steve & Susan Jensen. Some, like his parents, sister LaVonne, and brother Gary had already embarked on their next journey.
Wayne lived a life full of passion and joy. He found solace in the warmth of campfires surrounded by family and friends. His loyal companion, Hanna, shared in his love for the great outdoors. Known for his uncanny ability to fix or build anything, Wayne's hands were never idle.
A true outdoorsman, Wayne enjoyed logging and the tranquility of nature. He had a rhythm for life, relishing in music and, when the mood struck, breaking into dance. Fishing was not just a pastime but a source of genuine joy for Wayne.
In the cozy corners of his kitchen, Wayne hosted memorable eggnog and herring parties, always ensuring the coffee pot was on for entertaining conversations. A skilled chef and grill master, he delighted in preparing meals for loved ones. His intellect shone through in his love for tackling the New York Times crossword puzzle.
Services to celebrate Wayne’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Bone Lake Lutheran Church (1101 255th Ave, Luck, WI 54853) with visitation one hour prior to the service.
As we gather to bid farewell to Wayne, let us remember the man who embraced life with a hearty laugh, a quick wit, and a generous spirit. May his legacy of warmth, laughter, and the joy of simple pleasures live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bone Lake Lutheran Church.
Wayne Oliver Giller, may you find eternal peace, and may your memory forever be a blessing to those who loved you.
