In Memory of Wayne Luedtke
Wayne Allen Luedtke, age 61, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Grantsburg, WI, on Monday, December 13, 2021.
He was born in Grantsburg on April 1, 1960, the youngest of the three children of Armand and Elsie (Hoffman) Luedtke.
He was a graduate of Grantsburg High School, Class of 1978. He farmed for most of his adult life, both on the family farm in Grantsburg, and, briefly, for others in Atlas and Luck, Wisconsin. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing, and won many trophies and awards for trapshooting.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie, in 2007, and just recently, his father, Armand, on November 5, 2021.
Wayne is survived by his fiancee, Kimberly Whiteoak, of Blaine, MN; his step-son, Mat (Pam) McCormick, and two daughters, Kim (Ron) Feit, and Melissa (Bryan) Thalin, all of Grantsburg, and 10 grandchildren: Alex, Tyler and Aiden McCormick; Ayla and Talon Meyer; Jacob, Lucas, and Dylan Feit; and Natalie and Spencer Thalin. Also surviving are Wayne's brother and sister, Roger (Patty) Luedtke, Bloomington, MN, and Jennifer (David) Hanson, Elk River, MN; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as ex-wife, Sharon (Nordrum) Luedtke, of Grantsburg.
A memorial visitation will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 716 S. Robert Street, Grantsburg, WI 54840, on Monday, December 20, 2021, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., with a time of sharing of memories by friends and family at 5:00 p.m.
