In Memory of Walter F. Peters
Walter F Peters (Walt) current resident of the Town of Gull Lake, Washburn County. was born on June 11, 1950, in Two Rivers, WI, son of the late Gustave and Eleanor (Hove) Peters.
He was baptized and confirmed into God's Kingdom of Grace at St. John's Lutheran Church in Two Rivers, WI.
Walt attended early grade school in a rural, one-room school. He was blessed to then attend St. John Lutheran grade school and Manitowoc Lutheran High School graduating with the class of 1968. Walt was a teacher and technical college dean for most of his professional life.
On August 10, 1985, he married Mary T. Dietrich at St. John's Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Walt and Mary were graced with three children: Justin, Ethan, Laura and granddaughters—Sarah, Colette and Lou. Walt has been a member at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, Spooner WI since 1991.
Walt loved living in the Wisconsin Northwoods since 1989.
He is survived by: Mary; Justin and Rebekah Peters (Sarah, Colette); Ethan Peters; Joseph and Laura Buchman (Lou).
Brothers and sisters: Charlotte Swade, Curt (Marie) Peters, Rachel (Rod) Strzyzewski, Tom (Jean) Peters; brothers and sisters-in-law—Brian Belonger, John and Theresa Dietrich; Ron Dietrich; Allen and Linda Dietrich; Ann and Gerry Klapperich; Nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and God children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gustave and Eleanor Peters; in-laws Walter and Elleen Dietrich; sister, Dorothy Belonger; brother, Roger Peters; sisters-in-law Krissy and Judy Dietrich; brother-in-law Ken Swade.
The funeral service for Walt will be held on Saturday, May 20th at 11 a.m. with visitation from 9:30-11 a.m. at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church; N5015 Beaverbrook Avenue; Spooner, WI 54801.
