Verneil Johnson, 100, was born May 18th, 1924, and passed away, very peacefully, on Friday, August 9, 2024.

She was a wonderful lady, who will be sorely missed by so many; family, friends, neighbors and even strangers, who she welcomed into her heart. She had a very sharing smile and a kind word for all.

Verneil was born and raised in Southern Minnesota. Her loving parents were Walter and Olga (Rabe) Schuette. She was the only daughter, surrounded by four brothers: Howard, Harold, Chester, and Roy. The youngest brother, Roy, was truly her pride and joy. She absolutely loved her tiny brother and was devastated beyond description, and forever, by his very young, untimely death, of what was called consumption, at the time.

Verneil lost her dear husband Dale in 1998. They were a very fun, loving couple, married 51 years, who always enjoyed life to the fullest. That love of life was truly 'contagious'.

There's lots of stories, lots of friendship, lots of memories, for us all to share, reminisce, and appreciate, always.

Verneil is survived by her daughter, Verlene and husband Dennis, son, Clayton and wife Sheryl, daughter, Gloria and husband Wayne, four grandchildren, and seven greatgrandchildren, who along with so many others, will deeply miss this beautiful and energetic lady.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2024 at West Immanuel Lutheran Church, 447 180th St, Osceola, WI with Pastor Lori Peper officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in West Immanuel Cemetery in Osceola, WI.
