In Memory of Tyler Rothmann

August 8, 1987 - February 16, 2022

Tyler Robert Rothmann, age 34, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.

He was born August 8, 1987, in Madison, WI, the son of Gary Rothmann and Carla Reiser.

Tyler grew up in both Wisconsin and Alaska. He loved traveling and adventure which took him to Colorado for a few years before heading north to Alaska, residing in Seward.

Tyler’s adventures included making funny videos, being outdoors, officiating at a wedding, panning for gold, music, sports, acting, modeling, and cooking. Tyler spent many years in the culinary field in Colorado and Alaska. Whether Tyler was working or playing, his greatest joy was making friends. If you met Tyler, you might have played Frolf, belted a tune, shared a meal, had a beer, and very likely, a good belly laugh. You also knew, without a doubt, where he stood on his beloved Wisconsin sports teams.  Through these adventures he made wonderful friends who became an extended family!

Tyler is survived by his mom, Carla; step-pops, Mike Reiser (Tyler’s term of endearment); brothers, Cooper Reiser of Hayward and Gunther (Alexis) Reiser of La Crosse; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Rothmann; his paternal grandparents, Robert and Della Rothmann; and his maternal grandparents, Carl and Eleanor Raatz.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Seward, Alaska. 2021 took the Golden Girl, 2022 took the Golden Boy, RIP Double N.
