In Memory of Thomas R. Christianson


August 15, 1953 - July 20, 2023

Thomas R “Tom” Christianson, aka “WalleyeMaxx”, of Radisson, WI passed away suddenly July 20th at age 69 at Hayward Memorial Hospital.

He was born and raised in Eau Claire, WI and worked as a route driver for Vending Services.

While attending the local technical college he met Janet during a sign language class, and they married in 1977. Moving to Eagle River he worked as a route driver for Pepsi then as school custodian at Northland Pines. He retired to Radisson in 2012 to continue full-time guiding on the Chippewa Flowage, enjoy northern Wisconsin and make fishing lures.

He was very proud of his son and his family. and shared stories about them with everyone he met. He loved dogs (always had a story or two to share about his labs) and the outdoors, especially fishing.

He is survived by his spouse of 45 years, Janet, son Kyle (Wendy), his grandchildren, Elise and Elliot and a brother, Bruce.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.

Services are pending.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations for a memorial bench may be made to the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame in Hayward.
