Thomas Oscar Toufar Age 72, of Rice Lake, WI, died Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in Marshfield, WI.

He was born on March 4, 1951 in Chippewa Falls, WI to Joseph and Mildred (Peterson) Toufar.

Tom graduated from Chetek High School in 1969 and then attended Vocational School for a few years. He was married to Kathy Williams on October 20, 1990 in Rice Lake and they later divorced and still became close friends. Tom worked for Link Ford for many years as an auto mechanic. Tom loved working on cars, being outdoors and going to the casino. He loved his kids dearly and was very proud of both of them. Tom also enjoyed helping his son, Tanner work on his vehicles over the years.

He is survived by a son, Tanner Toufar; a daughter, Amber Toufar; a half brother, Robert Janota; 3 step brothers, Dale, Art and Rollin Janota; a sister, Jolene Kowalski; a step sister, Shirley Janota; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mildred Toufar; stepfather, Charles Janota; a brother, Larry Toufar; and a step brother, Elroy Janota.

A celebration of his life will be held from 4-6PM Friday, October 6, 2023 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI.
