Theodore “Ted” Arthur Eby Age 87, of Rice Lake, WI, died Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on August 10, 1936 in Rice Lake to Floyd and Esther (Phipps) Eby.

Ted graduated from Birchwood High School in 1956. He entered the United States Marine Corps in 1957 and drove the explosive truck while he was stationed in Japan and later was Honorably Discharged in 1960. He was married to Sylvia Anderson on September 2, 1967 in Rice Lake. Ted drove trucks as a milk hauler for many years for Gerland’s Creamery and Twin Town Milkmen. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors, coins, camping, fishing in Canada and loved driving his Mustang.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Eby; a daughter, Amanda Eby; 2 grandchildren, Adrianna Eby and Ian Swanson; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Esther Eby; a sister, Grace (Bill) Evans.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Rice Lake, Rev. Sue Eidahl officiating, with full military rites accorded him by the Rice Lake Veteran Honor Guard in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11AM Tuesday at the church. Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is assisting the family with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. Jude’s Hospital or Ronald McDonald House.
