Steven R. Raketic of Hayward, WI passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

He was born May 22, 1977 in Hammond, IN to Emily and Aleksander Raketic.

He grew up in Schereville, IN, graduating from Lake Central High School in St. John, IN. While in high school he made many good friends in Marching Band, playing the trombone. Steven started college at Purdue University. He entered the Navy in September of 1999. While in the Navy, he graduated from Purdue University N.W. in Hammond, IN with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics.

Steven was honorably discharged from the Navy on September 30, 2005 with the rank of Lt. Junior Grade. He went on to work for Jupiter Aluminum in Hammond, IN. He also worked for Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO), where he became a Generation Dispatcher and Compliance Engineer for the next five years before taking a disability.

Steven married Trisha Pressner in Oahu, HI on June 11, 2005. Together they had a son, Noah Ryan and a daughter, Gabrielle Renee. (They divorced in 2013). Steven also had a son, Lennon Michael in 2016, with girlfriend, Bridget. Steven was a devoted father and enjoyed spending time with his children. He was a great friend to many. Steve enjoyed all sports, playing cards, fishing and camping.

Steven is survived by his children, Noah Raketic, Gabrielle Raketic, and Lennon Michael Raketic; parents, Emily and Aleksander Raketic; sister, Dana (Joseph) Rinkovsky. Also, dear nieces, a nephew, cousins, aunts, uncles, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by beloved maternal grandparents, George and Dora Miller; paternal grandparents, Mirko and Erna Raketic; and uncles, Nick Raketic and George Miller.

A memorial service will be planned at Northwest Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a future date.
