Steven Michael Nasholm, 35, of Clayton passed away unexpectedly on January 30, 2024. He was born April 5, 1988 in Rice Lake, WI to Michael and Karrie (Jackson) Nasholm.

Steve was baptized at Turtle Lake Methodist and confirmed in Clear Lake Methodist. Growing up, Steve enjoyed working with his grandpa on the farm. He graduated from Clear Lake High School in the class of ‘06, and would meet Stephanie in 2014.

His working career began at Menards with his partner in crime, Chase Nordby. He then progressed to various logging jobs through Jeff Nordby and Goettl Logging - most recently at Svee Trucking, and becomming owner/operator for SNS Trucking.

Steve was a loving father and husband who was quick-witted and never refrained from sharing jokes (with a disregard for appropriateness!). He loved tractors, bear hunting with his hounds, driving semis and motorcycles, and fixing lawnmowers and ATVs. Regardless of his claimed distaste for horses, he loved supporting his girls’ love for Cami and Captain.

He is survived by wife, Stephanie McBain; children; Anna Mae Brekke, Alaina “Rae” Lauritsen “Nasholm”, Nora Lee Nasholm; parents, Michael (Tracey) Nasholm and Karrie (Dennis) Drinkman; siblings, Sarah (Dave) Wiemeri, Matt (Rachel) Nasholm, Megan (Pat) Nasholm; step-siblings, Melissa Drinkman, Kristian (Ashley) Drinkman, Jody Drinkman, Carrie (Ryan) O’Gara, Alyssa (Trevor) Riedel, Harley (Bryan) Hubbell, Destiny (Dan) Hubbell; grandma, Sylvia Jackson, as well as many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ron Jackson and Curt Nasholm; grandmother, Judy Nasholm; aunt, Karen Nasholm, and man’s best friend - his dog, Sue.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, February 5, 2024 at The First Lutheran Church of Arland Lutheran with Bruce Metcalf officiating. Pallbearers are Matt Nasholm, Chase Nordby, Ken Wells, Mike Munson, Josh Morning, Brandon Spalinger, Matt Barthman, and Justin Anderson . Honorary pallbearers are Oscar Troff, Nicholaus Wells, Otis Hamilton, and Nathan McBain.

Visitation will be from Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 4 PM - 7PM at Skinner Funeral Home, Turtle Lake and one hour prior to the service on Monday at church.
