In Memory of Sharon A. Springer

June 7, 1949 - March 30, 2024

Sharon Ann Springer was born June 7, 1949 to Ferdinand and Lenore (Wies) Springer. She died on March 30, 2024 in Osceola, WI after putting up a brave fight against Parkinson's disease. She is survived by her siblings Don and Roger (Jill) as well as sister-in-law Cheryl. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews: Stacy (Jeff) Everson, Amy (Jed) Riegelman, Sarah (Steve) Kromrey, Shawn (Ashley) Springer, Lindsey (Barry Brinkman) Springer, Jeff Springer, Kelly (Jason) Waalen, Jenna (Ted) Rein, and Matt Springer. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Jerry Springer, and sister-in-law Sue Springer.

Sharon grew up in East Farmington and graduated from Osceola High School in 1967. She worked at Andersen Windows for many years before retiring. She truly appreciated time spent with her family and many, many friends. She was very active at Assumption Catholic Church where she was the recipient of Superior Diocesan Council of Catholic Women award. She enjoyed spending time at the family cabin at Big Lake, and Dairyland, and annual St. Patrick’s Day parade at Webb Lake. She was also an adventurous traveler flying to many places including Hawaii, New York, England, Wales, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Germany. Additionally, she joined her dad on World War II veteran reunions in Branson, Kansas City and San Antonio.

When Sharon had a health scare in 1999 at age 50, she drafted a eulogy as to save her family the work of preparing one (how thoughtful, Sharon). In this 3-page draft, she wrote about excursions, work, how much she valued her extended family and friends, and how much she enjoyed their shared experiences; she apologized to her mom for giving her gray hair during a rebellious time as a senior in high school. She also wrote, "Family and friends are very important. Don't lose them. They do make life worth living" and "You know, nobody said life would be a bowl of cherries. I've learned life is what you make it. I've enjoyed mine."
