Rudolf “Rudy” A. Solomonson, passed away on July 30, 2024 at the age of 91, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy as a true gentleman living out our lives with his best qualities, patience, kindness and grateful hearts.

Rudy was born on April 1, 1933 to parents Frank and Hilda (Anderson) Solomonson. Rudy was a jack of all trades, a pilot, retired computer engineer, and our knight in shining armor.

Rudy married his one true love, Patricia “Pat” Gable on November 18, 1972. Rudy was one of the good guys who will never be forgotten. A true saint that brought peace and stability with him to a widower with five children. He changed her life and sacrificed so much to become the children’s forever “bonus dad.”

The simplest things brought great joy to Rudy. His family, his faith, a home cooked meal, sipping a cup of coffee, singing Swedish tunes and sitting on his rocker overlooking the lake. Watching nature would bring a smile to his face. Rudy had a heart of gold, and his kindness was felt by all who crossed paths with him.

Rudy is preceded in death by his one true love, Patricia “Pat” Gable-Bloemers-Solomonson, are hearts are at peace knowing they are now reunited in heaven. His parents, Frank and Hilda; sons, Steve and John Bloemers; brothers, Ernest (Betty), Carl (Eleanor) and Donnie (Jean); sisters, Vea (Joe), Helen (William), Frannie (Ken), Elsie (Bob) and Caroline (Harold).

He will be forever missed by his children, Scott (Nita) Bloemers, Mary Olson and Mark (Diedre) Bloemers; sister, Betty (Gene); grandchildren, Noah, Derk (Allie) Jonnie (Mike), Ashley (Josh), Jessie (Henny) and Jenny (Anthony); great grandchildren, Knox, Logan, John, Nora, Rudy, Geno, Macey, Hattie, Berklee, Miggy, Jayden, Jordan, Colby, Dominic, AJ and Juanita; great-great grandson, Joseph; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
