In Memory of Ronald K. Miller


December 23, 1939 - July 8, 2023

Ronald K. Miller, 83, of Barron, died Saturday, July 8, 2023, surrounded by family.

He was born December 23, 1939, in Rice Lake, to Melvin and Inez (Peterson) Miller.

He was a dairy farmer in Poskin for 9 years and lifetime truck driver. His passion was engines and truck pulling for over 40 years which he continued until he was 82 years old. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in Alaska. He was an avid hunter and cherished hunting trips with family to Northern Wisconsin and Wyoming.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Pat Miller of Barron; children, Rhonda Lillie of Almena, Russell (Ginny) of Princeton, MN, Randy (Pam) of Osceola, Roger (Kelly) of Shorewood, MN and Renee Bergum (Mike) of Des Plaines, IL; grandchildren, Steve Helseth (Stacy), Sean Miller, Scott Miller, Jamie Taylor, Josh Lillie (Tracy), Jordan Lillie, Sawyer Miller, Tyler Miller, Mackenzie Miller and Torrey Bergum; great-grandchildren, Morgan Taylor, Carson Helseth, Paige Helseth, Colton Lillie and Dillon Dwyer; brothers, Jim Miller (Corinne) of Saratoga, WY and Chester Miller (Judy) of Barron; sisters, Janet Miller of Portage and Lori Scheffel (Gary) of Springbrook; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Miller; mother, Inez Miller; sister, Sherry Hammann and brother Calvin Miller.

A funeral service for Ronald Miller will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Rausch and Steel Funeral Chapel in Barron. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19 at Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron. Burial will be at Swede Cemetery in the Town of Rice Lake.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers monetary donations.

Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
