Roman Steines, beloved father, grandfather and decorated veteran, passed away on April 16, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer. Roman was born on July 28, 1949, in Stratford, Wisconsin. He spent the majority of his life in Cumberland, Wisconsin.

Roman is remembered for his kindness and willingness to help others. He is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Steines; mother, Frances Steines; and brother, Steve Steines. Roman is survived by nine siblings, five children, fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Those who knew Roman will remember him for his strong work ethic, his sense of humor, and his generous spirit. He had a profound impact on the lives of those around him and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

In honoring Roman’s memory, a celebration of life will be held from 12:30-4:00 on Sunday, April 28th at the Barronett Civic Club 2971 8th Street, Barronett, WI. Burial service will occur at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at N4063 Veterans Way, Spooner, WI 54801 at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 29th. May he rest in peace, knowing that he was cherished and admired by all who knew him.
