Roger Wayne Blanch Age 85, of Birchwood, WI, died Monday, May 22, 2023 in Rice Lake.

He was born on June 23, 1937 in Chetek, WI to Charles and Leona (Loughren) Blanch.

He attended school in Clayton, WI and then he entered the United States Air Force and served for 4 years and was Honorably Discharged. Roger was married to Elizabeth Anderson on February 19, 1960 in Clayton, WI. He hauled milk, worked for Lester’s Incorporated, Anderson Windows, the Village of Clayton, Greg’s Excavating and Shell Lake Woodcrafters. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, spending time with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Blanch; 4 children, Jeff (Alicia Robotka) Blanch, Barbara (Ray) Roff, Lori (Warren) DeBoer and Debra (Greg) Leschisin; 9 grandchildren, Kohlten Blanch, Dakota Blanch, Bryan Roff, Trent Roff, Jordan Roff, Elizabeth Hesselink, Caleb DeBoer, Rhonda Mullin and Steve Leschisin; 17 great grandchildren, MaKaylie, Nevaehlee and Brexton Blanch, Nolan, Easton, Nevaeh, Zander and Ruby Roff, Austin DeBoer, Trevor and Tenley Hesselink, Norah and Reese Mullin, Clark, Archer and Quinn Leschisin; a step great granddaughter, Morgan Waters; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Leona Blanch; his parent-in-laws, Walter and Isla Anderson; a granddaughter, Kathryn DeBoer; a brother, Scott Blanch; 2 sisters, Janice Ball and JoAnn Hedrick.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Birchwood, WI, Rev. Dan Tabor officiating, with interment and Military Rites accorded him by the Birchwood American Legion Post in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM Wednesday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake and for one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the Church on Thursday.
