In Memory of Rodney Sandmon
Rodney E. Sandmon, age 78, a resident of Siren passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021.
Rod was born on July 15, 1943 in Superior to George and Eithel Sandmon.
On April 26, 1969 he married his sweetheart, Gwen in Superior.
Rod was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord. He was an ordained Pastor and was an active member of the Adventures Church in Siren.
Rod enjoyed his woodworking/carpentry career so much, that he never felt like he worked a day in his life. He always felt he was paid to do his hobby. He also enjoyed entertaining people as an Elvis impersonator and hosting parties, performing weddings and vow renewals in the "57 diner" he built.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Tom and sister, Loretta.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Gwen; his children Travis (Amy Caslow) Sandmon, Mark (Andrea) Sandmon; his grandchildren, Gabby, Brody, Nate, AJ, Natalie and Olivia; sisters, Janice Johnson, Laura Borgh, Judy (Stuart) Hunter, Bonnie Gordon and Barb Wickstrom; along with his sister-in-law, Karen Sandmon, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM (visitation 10-11 AM) at Adventures Church in Siren with CJ Johnson officiating.
Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster.
