Robin Eric Hendrix, age 55, passed away at his home in Amery, Wisconsin on October 7, 2023.

Rob was born on May 9, 1968 in Frankfurt, Germany, where his father was stationed in the U.S. military. He was raised in El Paso, Texas, and Socorro, New Mexico. Rob followed his family’s tradition of military service, enlisting in the U.S. Army, where he proudly served for many years.

Using the technical skills that he learned through the military, Rob had a very successful career designing, installing and maintaining communications systems. These skills were used in multiple hospitals, including Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, and more recently helping with VA Hospital communication systems.

Rob moved to Amery, Wisconsin where he quickly fell in love with the community. He was active with the Lions Club, participated in Community Club, and greatly enjoyed helping with a variety of events in the Amery area. He was always willing to jump in and volunteer, lending a hand, with great conversation and a contagious smile. He felt that after a lifetime of moving around he had finally found his home.

Rob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lillian (Hruska) Hendrix. He leaves behind his brother David, sisters Mary and Pat, and many loving friends.

We are going to share our favorite memories at a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Amery Community Center (608 Harriman Ave S).
