In Memory of Robert Scottum

June 28, 1946 - December 26, 2021

Robert Wendell Scottum went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 26, 2021.

He was born on June 28, 1946, to Wendell and Cora (Peterson) Scottum.

On August 17, 1968, he married Judy M. Sellman, the forever love of his life. To them, three children were born: Lisa, Amy, and Nate. After Judy M. died, Bob married Judy E., who brought her children, Nils and Ellie, into his life.

While Bob had a varied and stellar career teaching in schools in Northwest Wisconsin and was highly respected wherever he lived, nothing was more important to him than his belief and trust in Jesus, who is his Lord and Savior. In retirement, he enjoyed the gifts of living on the shores of Lake Superior and trolling for salmon and trout, but later the desire to have an impact in God's kingdom led him and Judy E. to Albania. Over the last 11 years, they made numerous trips, teaching at GDQ International Christian School and encouraging local pastors Landi, Ermal, and Toni, who labor to bring the Gospel to Albanians. These men and their wives and children became like family to Bob, along with missionaries Steve and Rachel. Bob always said that the blessings he received from them were far greater than anything he might have been able to offer.

Although he was willing to leave home for extended periods of time, his children and grandchildren were among his greatest blessings. He adored them, and the feeling is mutual. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Judy M.

He is survived by his wife, Judy E., and children: Lisa (Tim), Amy (Aaron), Nate (Lacey), and Judy's children Nils (Stephanie) and Ellie. Loving grandchildren are Alyssa, Ashton, Addison, Avery, Daniel, Eliya, Kylie, and Elias.

Also surviving him and loving him are sisters Rosemary and Leanne (Bob) and their children.

As per Bob's request, there will be no funeral. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster.
