In Memory of Robert G. Lee


December 27, 1931 - August 16, 2025

Robert(Bob) G. Lee, age 93, a resident of Siren passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025. Bob was born on December 27, 1931 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to George Abner and Celina Lee. He grew up in Osseo, WI where he a ended school, graduating in 1949. He started college at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, and le for the Air Force in 1951.

Bob and Marge were married on March 15, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas, then moved to Macon, Georgia for two years while Bob served in the Air Force. Marge returned to Augusta with children Sue and new born Jerre in 1954 when Bob was sent to Germany. After discharge in 1955, he finished his teaching degree at UW Eau Claire, and in 1958 they moved to Siren.

Bob started his career in Siren as a history teacher and assistant coach. Soon taking over as head coach for football and basketball. He became the principal in 1970 and then superintendent from 1971 to 1989 when he retired. He did everything he could to support the community, serving as village president for many years and more than 60 year member of the American Legion. He was a member and supporter of Bethany Lutheran Church since 1958. Dad was an avid golfer, wonderful husband, dad, and proud grandpa.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Abner and Celina; wife, Marjorie, daughter, Sue Soderberg; and brother, Richard Lee.

He will be sadly missed by sons, Jerre (Susie) Lee, John (Jeri) Lee and Sim (Claudia) Lee; grandchildren, Jasmine (Patrick Cyr) Lee, Eric Lee, Nels (Kirsten) Soderberg, Andrew Soderberg, Jenna (Brian) Richardson, Jordan Lee, Quinton Lee, Corbin Lee, and Selina Lee; great grandchildren, Jade Sodemann, Kai Sodemann, Sophie Sue Soderberg, Anikah Soderberg, Gus Richardson, and Ha e Richardson; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of donations to the family, the family kindly requests to make donations to Siren School District and American Legion.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 23rd, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bethany Lutheran Church in Siren, WI. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will follow at 11:00 AM, with an inurnment immediately afterward at Lakeview Cemetery in Siren, WI.
