Raymond Charles Jilek Age 67, of Birchwood, WI, died Monday, October 28, 2024 in Cumberland, WI.

He was born on July 9, 1957 in Rice Lake to Charles and Louise (Klossner) Jilek.

Ray graduated from Birchwood High School in 1976 and worked for Birchwood Lumber and Veneer for over 22 years. He was married to Diane Kutz on August 10, 1984 in Ladysmith, WI. He loved ice fishing, hunting, cooking, canning, watching western movies, making maple syrup, cutting wood, being outdoors, riding his side by side; and helping out family and friends as much as he could.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Jilek; 2 children, Sherri (Chris) Cutsforth and Rick (Kristi) Seelnacht; 3 grandchildren, Cheyenne (Tyler) Yaeger, Addi Seelnacht and Kenna Seelnacht; a great granddaughter, Fjolla; 6 brothers, David (Mary) Jilek, Christopher Jilek, Brian Jilek, Bruce Jilek (Lisa Jewell), Timothy Jilek, and Mark (Shelley) Jilek; 2 sisters, Linda (Ken) Wood and Stephanie Jilek; many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Louise Jilek, and a brother, Thomas Jilek.

A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 4-7PM at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, with a memorial service to be held at 6:45PM.
