In Memory of Randy L. Johnson


September 25, 1948 - November 16, 2022

Randy Lee “Chico” Johnson, age 74, of Hayward, WI passed away November 16, 2022, surrounded by his family.

Randy was born September 25, 1948, in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, the son of Clifford LeRoy and Margaret Mae (Fuller) Johnson.

He was united in marriage to Brigitte I. Dollansky on June 17, 1976, in Woodstock, IL. Randy proudly served his country with the United States Army (1972-1992), retiring after 20 years. He then moved to New Richmond, WI with his wife Brigitte in 2000 and both worked at BAE Systems until retirement. Afterwards, they moved to Hayward, WI in 2014. He loved the Northwoods and the outdoors, participating in various fishing and ATV clubs, and also a member of the Patriot Riders and the WACEK-Slattery American Legion Post #303. Randy was a devoted family man, husband and father. He loved having his family close, he was a kind, funny and gentle man and always quick with a joke. Randy will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his wife Brigitte of Hayward; children, son Jody (Janette) Johnson of Lincoln, NE, daughter Tammy Nienaber of Burnsville, MN, son Christopher (Jennifer) Johnson of Marshfield, WI, daughter Tamera Craig of Charleston, IL, son Randy Johnson of Hayward and son Jeremy (Cara) Johnson of Fort Wayne, IN; seven grandchildren & several great-grandchildren; brother Dan Johnson of Winter, WI, sister Cathy Christenson of Las Vegas, NV, sister Judie Kalpinski of Stevens Point, WI, sister Julie Kreighbaum of Tulsa, OK, sister Lynette Kohl of Neillsville, WI & Lisa Licht of Plover, WI; numerous nieces, nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents; & sister Sue Swenson.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon Friday, December 2, 2022, with a Memorial Service at 12:00 noon at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward. A gathering will be held after the service at The Boulevard, 14392 County Road K. A ceremony will also be planned for the summer of 2023 where Randy will be placed at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
