In Memory of Randal Trick

June 23, 1963 - August 12, 2021

Randall Frank Trick, aged 58, a resident of Centuria Wisconsin passed away on Thursday August 12th 2021 in Superior Wisconsin.

Randal was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on June 23rd 1963 to Paul and Bertha (Lockman) Trick.

He was the youngest of six children. He lived the majority of his youth in the Milwaukee area and moved to Cushing Wisconsin in (1997?). He very much enjoyed living in the country and completely remodeled his home by himself.

He married his wife Kathy Lade at Trade River Evangelical Free Church on November 17 2012. Kathy brought with her two young daughters, Sophia and Ana. Randal told Kathy he wasn't sure if he knew how to be a dad but if the Lord wanted him to be a dad he would equip him. He adopted Sophia and Ana as his own daughters in May 2013.

Randal was introduced to the construction trades by his brother-in-law Mike Karpinski and became a cement finisher, eventually joining the Local 633 Cement Masons Union in Minneapolis. He lived in Cushing and drove the often 2 hour commute to Minneapolis every day to ply his trade. He worked mostly in commercial construction and would often point out the various buildings he had worked on. He retired from full-time work in 2018, but went back the following year to work as much as a retired guy could.

Randal loved motorcycles, his dog Boo, hunting and fishing (especially ice fishing) and working with his hands. He was an incredible cook and a grill master. His sister Linda said a group of ten could drop by unannounced and he would put together a dinner with what he had on hand.

When Randal decided he wanted to do something he would put many hours of research into it and then make sure it was done right. He never did things halfway. This was true with his friendships as well. He was loyal and honest, had a great sense of humor and loved kidding around. He loved all kinds of music; his favorite song as a kid was "Windy" by The Association and his sister Brenda said she would often hear him trying to sing along. Most of all he loved his family and did his best to keep in touch with his siblings even though he didn't get to see them very often.

He is survived by his wife of eight years, Kathy; daughters Sophia and Ana; siblings Paul (Pat) Trick, Linda Karpinski, Brenda (Art) Unger, Paula (Jim) Schultz, Melanie (Gerald) Pospichal and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother in law Mike Karpinski.

A celebration of Randal's life will be held at the East Balsam Baptist Church in Balsam Lake Wisconsin on Saturday August 21 2021 with visitation at 1pm and a memorial service at 2pm. Interment will be at the Trade River cemetery in Grantsburg Wisconsin at a later date.

Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg Taylor funeral home Grantsburg Wisconsin.
