Rachel Schuneman, age 61, of Brill, WI, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at her home.

Rachel was born on February 15, 1963, in Farmington, MN, to parents Jack and Geneva Mulligan. In her younger years, Rachel grew up on the family farm in Osceola, WI, before the family moved to Trego, WI and later to Boise, ID. While in Boise, Rachel graduated from Borah High School where she was very active in ROTC . After graduation she attended beautician school. She married her first husband and father of her children, and the family moved back to the Trego, WI, area in 1988. Rachel worked as a nurse’s aide for a short while before she found a passion for cooking and worked various waitressing and cooking jobs throughout her life. In the late 1990’s Rachel met Randy Schuneman, and the couple married on July 22, 2000, in Trego.

Rachel’s passion for cooking lead her to greatly enjoy feeding her family at gatherings. Rachel loved getting the family together and spoiling her grandchildren. She enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and riding horses in her younger years.

She is survived by her husband, Randy; children, Adam (Jessica) Kidd, Isaiah (Jessica) Kidd, and Hillary (Andrew) Kidd; stepchildren, Joshua (Maria) Kidd and Travis Kidd; grandchildren, Conner, Mason, Carsen, Logan, Sophia, Ayla, Abel, and Anberlin; 8 siblings; many nieces and nephews; and her furry friends, Cotton, Casper, and Ziggy.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Lampson Cemetery. Following the graveside, a gathering of family and friends will be held at 2:00 PM at the River Wesleyan Church at N13205 Rice Lake Rd, Minong, WI 54859.
