Patrick J. Kavanagh, age 65, of Hayward, WI, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Essentia-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

Patrick John Kavanagh was born February 20, 1959, in Duluth, MN the son of Gerald and MaryLou (Siebenaler) Kavanagh Jr. He was raised in Hayward, WI where he graduated from high school in 1977. Patrick continued his education at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire where he had a mathematics major. After graduating from Eau Claire with a bachelor’s degree, Pat returned to the Hayward area where he worked several jobs before taking a job as a design engineer for Trussworks. Throughout Pat’s life he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, golfing and gardening.

Patrick is survived by his daughter, Mary of Hayward; two stepdaughters, Annie and Amanda Makos; one grandson, Matthew Conover; step-granddaughter Devin Pedersen; two step-grandsons, Robert and William Cepero; three siblings, Mike (Lynn) Kavanagh of Hayward, Kay (Dan) DeBraal of Cottage Grove, MN, Phil (Toni) Kavanagh of Sparta, WI; several nieces and nephews; and special neighbors Donna and Valerie.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering will be held for Patrick from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at the Hayward Veterans Center.
