Patricia (Cowing) Valleen, just short of 80, of St. Croix Falls peacefully finished her journey with her husband of 58 years by her side on October 28, 2022.

Pat was an early entrepreneur, owning and operating a restaurant, creating beautiful furniture with her extraordinary woodworking skills and as a caregiver.

She loved gardening, both flowers and vegetables. In her heyday she was known to put up over 400 quarts of food to last through the winter.

In her later years she could be found deep in a book or working a puzzle. As her eyes began to fail, Wisconsin Talking Books and Braille Library and Wisconsin Public Radio were her lifeline.

Pat is survived by her husband, Norval; children Arron (Liz), Kim and Andy (Sandy Fussy); grandchildren Mellisa, Grace, and Charlie; great grandchild Antonio; and ever faithful canine Willie. She was preceded by her parents and sister, MaryLou Chaussee.

A private interment is planned. Memorials may be made to WPR, Hospice or a charity of your choice.
