In Memory of Nicholas S. Doriott


October 5, 1991 - January 12, 2024

Nicholas Steven Doriott, 32, of Webster, passed away on January 12, 2024, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN. He was born on October 5, 1991, in Grantsburg, WI, to his loving parents, Glenn and Laura Doriott.

Nick attended Webster School District, where he found great joy in his participation in wrestling, football, and baseball. He also participated in archery leagues and enjoyed shooting trap. However, his true passion in life was found outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was always adorned in his favorite camouflage gear. In addition, Nick also had an love for racing ATV's, earning his nickname, ”The Destroyer”.

At the age of 15, Nick suffered from a tragic ATV accident that left him paralyzed. Despite this life-altering event, he did not let it hinder his spirit, determination and outlook on life. He stayed focused and pursued his education, earning an accounting degree through online studies. He became very proficient with technology and became the family’s go-to tech guy, always ready to assist with any technological needs.

Nick was a quiet individual, but his passion for life spoke volumes. He continued to embrace life with unwavering enthusiasm, cherishing his passion for hunting and fishing. Nick was an avid Packer Fan. He will be remembered for his witty character, eye rolls and ability to catch you off guard with a wise crack that left you thinking. He will also be remembered and admired for his strength, intelligence, and his ability to never complain. He was a true testament to the strength of the human spirit.

Preceding Nick in death were his grandparents, Charles, and Linda Quigley, and Gordon and Virginia Doriott and his loving dog, Peanut. He leaves behind his grieving family, including his parents, Glenn and Laura; his brother, Scott Doriott; nephews and niece, Brantley, Braelyn and Weston, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of other relatives and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to his nursing staff and all those who provided care and support to Nick throughout the years. Their dedication furthered his ability to find joy in life and pursue his passions.

The memorial service to honor and celebrate Nick's life will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 6:00 PM (visitation from 4-6 pm) at the Zhashagiins Event Center (24133 Highway 35, Siren, WI) with Pastor Brian Pardun officiating. The family asks you to dress casual in your Packer or camo attire.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Nick’s Scholarship Fund.

Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home.
