In Memory of Nancy K. Krahenbuhl


May 2, 1955 - September 28, 2023

Nancy K. Krahenbuhl, 68, passed away peacefully at home in Barron, on September 28, 2023.

She was born in Rice Lake on May 2, 1955 to Richard and Lois (Miller) Schultz.

She attended Barron Schools where she met her future husband, Tim Krahenbuhl. After graduation she attended cosmetology school in Eau Claire. She then started her career in Barron at Mary’s Locke Shop, continued her career at CPS in Rice Lake. After 26 years of hair salons, she left to pursue a different career. She worked at the Turkey Store in Barron then on to Kwik-Trip where she retired in 2020.

She was a lifetime member of First Lutheran Church in Barron and was involved in the Ladies Circle and she was also a member on the cemetery board.

Nanc’s passion and joy were her three granddaughters, attending most all of their events. She also cherished her trips to cheer on the Brewers and Packers and watched them whenever possible.

Nanc leaves behind her loving husband of 47 years, Tim Krahenbuhl; son, Andrew (Jennifer) Krahenbuhl; daughter, Amanda (Cassidy) Olson; granddaughters, Ali Weisner, Avery Krahenbuhl, and Emerson Krahenbuhl. She is also survived by her brothers, Steven (Cindy) Schultz, and Paul (Myda Honaker) Schultz; one sister, Patty (John) Blaskowski.

She was preceded in death by son, Adam Krahenbuhl in 2002; father, Richard Schultz in 2021; and mother, Lois Schultz in 2023.

A funeral service for Nancy will be held at the First Lutheran Church in Barron on Thursday, October 5th at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 4th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Rausch & Steel Funeral Home in Barron and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday morning.

In lieu of plants or flowers, memorials can be given to the Barron First Lutheran Church Quilting Club, Cemetery Fund or Barron Hockey Association.

Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
