In Memory of Murilyn L. Kilmer
Murilyn Louise Kilmer passed away peacefully on December 1, 2023, at the United Pioneer Home in Luck, Wisconsin, she was 86 years old.
"Micky" was born on September 12, 1937. She was the first of two daughters born to Frederick and Hazel Springborn in Stillwater Minnesota. After the marriage of Frederick Springborn to his second wife Madeline, she was blessed with 2 more siblings, a brother and a sister. She attended and graduated from Stillwater High School.
She married Gerald Kilmer on June 25, 1957, in Long Beach California where Gerald was stationed in the Navy. After moving back to Minnesota/Wisconsin they were blessed with four children who grew up first in New Richmond, Wisconsin and later moved to Frederic, Wisconsin where they settled on a hobby farm near West Sweden. Micky was a homemaker for many years until her children were older and then she worked at Northern Manufacturing in Grantsburg Wisconsin for more than 20 years.
Micky loved her family, most especially her grandchildren. She was a wonderful homemaker who loved to bake, sew, and garden. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, camping, and playing cards. As a young mother she was a Sunday school teacher. She belonged to a Burnett County homemaker group for more than 30 years.
She is survived by her children Robin Giller, Kris Zacco (Rob Nick) and Brett Kilmer; her 7 grandchildren Joel Giller, Chasta Giller, Jeremy Zacco, Heather Zacco, Ryley Fosberg and Elizabeth Kilmer, 3 honorary grandchildren - Brian Kolve, Steven Kolve and Chris Kolve; 4 great grandchildren Landyn Zacco, Alivia Morgan, Kaden Howard and Lilyana Norlander; her siblings Mark Springborn (Nancy) and Jenise Springborn, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Micky was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Gerald, her son Keith, her grandson Mitchell, her sister Sharon, and special friend Robert Holm.
There will be a funeral service on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Pilgrim Lutheran church at 11:00 with a viewing 1 hour prior. There will be a luncheon after the service followed by graveside burial.
