In Memory of Milton P. Sogge


May 7, 1945 - May 15, 2024

Milton Paul Sogge, fondly known as Milt to his family and friends passed away peacefully on May 15, 2024, at the age of 79 in Frederic, WI, where he was also born on May 7, 1945. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend who lived a full life.

Milt was born to Paul and Marcia (Clausen) Sogge. He spent the first year on the Bone Lake Farm and then moved to the Sogge Home Place near Balsam Lake.

Milt was united in marriage with Marie (Marier) on January 29, 1966. To this union 3 children were born.

He graduated from Unity High School in 1963 and went on to GM Training. He worked for Frederic Auto with his uncle. He went on to work for Fabri-tech before starting his own business Sogge Dairy Supply. He then went to work for Vik-ron and Milltown Gas. He purchased Milltown Gas in 1989 and operated Milltown Appliance & Heating with his wife for 23 years until retirement in 2012.

Milt enjoyed many interesting hobbies throughout his life including trips to Canada fishing, deer hunting in Sterling Township, horseback riding in the Barrens, going to the cabin at Yellow Lake, UTVing, snowmobiling, and spending the winters in Arizona.

Milt was preceded in death by his parents, and in-laws Harold and Esther Marier.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Marie, son, Michael (Paula) grandchildren, Hunter and Chloe Hermansen. His Fur-baby Susie, 2 daughters, sister and brother-in-law, Lorna & Richard Marier, sister-in-law Lousie Schallenberger and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Rowe Funeral Home (206 Second Ave E. Luck, WI 54853) at 1:00 PM with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Milt will be laid to rest at West Denmark Cemetery in Luck, WI following the service.
