In Memory of Mavis Peterson
Mavis D. Peterson, age 84, a resident of Grantsburg passed away on January 12, 2021 at Burnett Medical Center Continuing Care Center.
Mavis was born on April 22, 1936 to Lloyd and Mary Ramsdell in Grantsburg.
Mavis married Robert Peterson in Pine City, MN on June 5, 1954.
She was an active member of the WELCA group at Trinity Lutheran Church in Falun and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching the birds, listening to Elvis and Wheel of Fortune. Her most treasured times were spent with her grandchildren and visiting with friends at the Grantsburg Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; grandson, Chad; her parents, Lloyd and Mary; and sisters, Eva, Ivy, Myrtle, Pearl and Doris.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Rhonda (Dawn) Peterson; her son, Roger Peterson; daughter in law, Margo (Roger) Wagenius; her grandchildren, Mollie, Jimmy (Taylor), Shawn, Kayla, Kristin (Jake), Sandra (Adam), and Willy; her 12 great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will also be forever missed by her special “CCC’ daughters and her bingo helper, Stan Moody.
The family would like to thank everyone at Burnett Medical Center Continuing Care Center for the exceptional, loving care they provided to the best Mom ever.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM (visitation 1-2 PM) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Grantsburg with Pastor Jay Ticknor officiating.
Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Grantsburg.
