Margaret Agnes Jones, 93, of Stillwater, MN, and formerly of Shell Lake, died Monday, May 20, 2024, at Good Samaritan Center in Stillwater. She was born September 7, 1930, in Shell Lake, WI to Magnus and Gena (Christensen) Mortensen, was raised in Shell Lake and attended high school there. She married Davie Jones in Pine City, MN on December 9, 1949, and they raised two children.

Margaret was an active lady her whole life, helping on the farm, gardening, playing sports and games with family as a kid, and volunteering with her church and community in her adult life. She loved Packer's football and watching her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren’s sporting events.

She is survived by daughters: Lois (Jerome) Goveronski and Darlene Swanson; grandchildren: Michael (Cathy) Goveronski, Jennifer Goveronski, Shannon (John) Crimmins, Kris Swanson, and Wendy (Peter) Zoller; 5 great-grandchildren: many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Davie Jones; son-in-law, Lawrence Swanson; parents Magnus and Gena; brothers: Martin, Lester, Henry, Raymond, William, Kenneth, Frank, and Marvin; sisters: Catherine, Florence, Jane, Lillian, Louise, and Lorraine.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 31, 2024, at Salem Lutheran Church - Shell Lake with Pastor Rodger Prois officiating. Burial will be in Lake Side Cemetery, Barronett. Honorary pallbearers are Mike, John, Pete, Kris, Jenny, Brian and Jerome.

Visitation one hour prior to the service at church.
