In Memory of Lyle E. Minor
Lyle E. Minor, age 90, of Ridgeland, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023 at his home.
Lyle was born on March 11, 1933 in Hay River Township in Dunn County to Earl and Geneiva (Quarderer) Minor.
He grew up in Dunn County, attending the Little Beaver School.
On July 7, 1956, he married Mabel Hitz in Wheeler. Lyle owned and operated a dairy farm in Ridgeland for many years and retired in 2002.
Lyle and Mabel enjoyed heading to Wheeler to go dancing in their younger years. They also liked to travel. They visited Alaska, New York City and Niagara Falls to name a few places they visited. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a longtime member of United Methodist Church in Prairie Farm.
Lyle is survived by his very special friend, Cleo Weber of Ridgeland; daughter, Connie Loofboro of Delton, MI; sons, Hal (Wendy) of Dallas, Randy (Mary) and Brian (Kris), and Joshua Minor, all of Ridgeland; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 9 step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry, Dan (Joan) and Rick Minor; sisters, Betty Johnson, Joan Buck, Loretta Morelock, Bonnie (Jeff) Brinkmeyer, Marlys Espeseth and Shirley Pederstuen; Mabel’s family, Harold (Judy) Hitz, Katherine (Arnold) Metze and Russell (Sue) Hitz; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mabel; parents; son-in-law, Darrin Loofboro; sisters, Carol Quarders and Erma Minor; as well as many sisters and brothers-in-law.
A funeral service for Lyle will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at the Ridgeland Community Center in Ridgeland at 1:00 p.m. A visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the center. Burial will be at Vanceburg Cemetery in the Town of Sheridan, Dunn County.
Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
