Louise Marie Jilek Age 91, of Birchwood, WI, died Monday, September 5, 2022 at Dove HealthCare in Rice Lake, WI.

She was born on August 25, 1931 in Cedar Lake Township, WI to William and Lillie (Siewert) Klossner.

Louise graduated from Birchwood High School in 1950 and was married to Charley Jilek on May 2, 1951 in Birchwood. Louise loved to garden and watch the birds, especially cardinals. She worked summers at Willswood Resort in Birchwood and provided after school care for several of her grandchildren.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Linda (Ken) Wood and Stephanie Jilek; 7 sons, David (Mary) Jilek, Raymond (Diane) Jilek, Christopher Jilek, Brian Jilek, Bruce (Lisa) Jilek, Timothy (Karin) Jilek and Mark (Shelley) Jilek; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Laura Parkos and Hilda Erickson; a brother, Emil Klossner; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charley Jilek; a son, Thomas Jilek; her parents, William and Lillian Klossner and 5 siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30AM Saturday, September 10, 2022 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Birchwood, WI, Father Ed Anderson officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery in Birchwood. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.

Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is assisting the family with the arrangements.

The family would like to thank Dove HealthCare for all the love and care that they provided. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to your local Alzheimer’s Association.
