In Memory of Lori Dake

March 5, 1962 - December 8, 2021

Lori Lea Dake, age 59, was released from her suffering body on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 12:08 am, at St. Croix Regional Medical Center in St. Croix Falls. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, she went to the arms of her precious Lord Jesus the Christ. Lori’s positive attitude in the face of so many struggles was an awesome blessing to all who knew her. She is sorely missed by her treasured family and friends.

Lori was born on March 5, 1962 in Hudson, WI to parents Walter and Norma Dake.

She graduated from Baldwin High School in 1981. She was a member of the Siren United Methodist Church and former member of the Siren Lioness Club. Her favorite and long-term employment was with DSI in Siren, where she had many good friends. Lori loved life; time with family and friends; bus trips; church and church functions; the Lioness; and the Packers. She especially loved to eat out; and was always ready to go anywhere whenever she was called.

As a young girl, Lori lived in Hudson and Baldwin, WI. Later in life, she moved to Siren, WI to be near family.

Preceding Lori in death are her parents, Walter and Norma Dake; brother, James Dake; and many other close family members.

Lori is survived by her sister, Susan (Robert) DeMarre; long term friend, advocate, driver and caregiver, Mary Jo Bierman; aunts, uncles, and many other family members and friends including a favorite cousin and friend, Ruby Westlund.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at the Siren United Methodist Church, including coffee, fellowship and remembrances, with the service following at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, contributions to Siren United Methodist Church in Lori’s memory are appreciated.

Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster.
