Virginia Ann "Lolly" Oslund was born April 6, 1921, on the family farm west of Pipe Lake, the second youngest of eight children. Her parents were Sever and Anna (Strand) Johnson. Lolly attended Pipe Lake School and Andrus School before graduating from Cumberland High School in 1938. She worked for several years at the Hines Company Store in Cumberland and briefly at 3M.

Lolly married August “Butch” Huehn in 1944 in Cumberland. They had one son, Mark. Butch died in 1972 and Lolly married Norman Oslund in 1977. She loved living on the farm where she was born, planting a large garden, and tending many flowers, all of which she readily shared with her family.

After living on the same Pipe Lake farm where she was born for 80 years she moved to Cumberland in 2001. She passed away at the age of 101 on September 22, 2022, at Dove Healthcare in Rice Lake.

Lolly is survived by her son, Mark (Joann); sister Joy Thomson; step-children, Dick Oslund and Carol (Tom) Burke, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands Butch and Norm; brothers: Sherman, Floyd, and Robert Johnson and sisters: Hazel Novak, Verne Chubb, and Helen Hines.

A Christian Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cumberland with Rev. John Miels officiating and burial following at Lakeside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 at the church. Serving as pallbearers are Dan Johnson, Herb Johnson, Dick Oslund, Mike Oslund, Mark Freitag, and Dave Oslund.
