Lois Ann Schultz, age 90, passed away peacefully on January 19th, 2023 in Eau Claire.

She was born in Dallas on January 13, 1933 to Harry & Lilly (Gaare) Miller.

She attended Dallas schools through her sophomore year and then attended Barron High School, where she met her future husband, Richard Schultz. Lois was a cheerleader and active all 4 years in the school plays. In 1949, Richard and Lois were Homecoming King and Queen. They both graduated from Barron High School in 1950. Lois married Richard on January 10, 1953, shortly before he was deployed for military training during the Korean conflict.

After high school, Lois worked as secretary for Wallace Jerome. She then worked as a seamstress at C&B Originals for the next 39 years.

She was a lifetime member of First Lutheran church and was very involved in the Ladies Circle, Homemakers, and Ladies Aide Society. She was also a dedicated member of the Red Hats Society. Lois found her passion and joy in sewing quilts. She made many quilts for her family, grandchildren, and her church.

Her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also thoroughly enjoyed many hunting trips to Wyoming where she bagged her trophy mule deer, which she proudly displayed in the living room next to Richard’s smaller buck. She traveled with Richard and other family members on several fishing trips to Canada. She also made a few trips to Nebraska to visit with some very special friends.

Lois leaves behind her four beloved children, Nancy (Timothy) Krahenbuhl of Barron, Steven (Cindy) Schultz and Patty (John) Blaskowski, both of Rice Lake, and Paul “Ponch” (Myda Honaker) Schultz of Barron. She will greatly miss her grandchildren, Andrew (Jennifer) Krahenbuhl, Amanda (Cassidy) Olson, Jenna (Rich) Jackson, Brett (Kaitlin) Schultz, Jacob (Natalie) Blaskowski, Michael Blaskowski, Jay Blaskowski, Justin (Laura Field) Schultz, and Emily Schultz. Also greatly missed will be Great-Grandchildren, Ali Wiesner, Avery and Emerson Krahenbuhl, Paige and Ian Schultz, and Scarlett & Weston Schultz. She is also survived by two sisters, Eileen (Jerry) Edwards, and Cathy (Larry) Wohlk and two sister-in-laws, Joann Miller and Barbra Hanson; plus many wonderful nieces and nephews.
