In Memory of Lisa Polzin

July 30, 1959 - October 4, 2021

Lisa Marie Polzin, age 62, of Cameron, Wi, died Monday, October 4, 2021.

She was born on July 30, 1959 in Belleville, Illinois to Clair (“C.O.”) and Marie (Ness) Paul.

Lisa graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1977. Lisa’s lifelong passion was caring for others, whether it be people both young or old, birds, horses, or plants. Her greatest joy was caring for and doting on “her people”; elderly folks she lovingly cared for in their homes as a personal care attendant working for Home Sweet Home. She also enjoyed researching family history and uncovered distant relatives in South Dakota. Prior to Covid, she was known to be a pretty good bowler as well. Lisa had a bubbly and positive personality and was always ready with words of encouragement or a hearty laugh for anyone in need of it. She was a fierce defender and advocate of those she loved and shared anything she had with others in need. Lisa put her trust in the Lord and had great faith that ‘Jesus will provide”. She was known for ending a sentence with “God Bless You”. For these things and more Lisa will be greatly missed.

Lisa is survived by her son, Christopher Polzin of Rice Lake, and beloved granddaughter, Briana; a brother, Joe Paul of Birchwood, a sister, Janine Afflitto (Al) of Chanhassen, MN; nephews Alec and Paul Afflitto; beloved cousin and ‘sister” Barb (Ness) Javener of Barron, special friend Mario Torres of Mexico, an uncle, Charles Ness (Connie) of Portage, Wi; cousins Dave, Steve, Gary and Dan Ness of Barron, cousin Dick Jacobson of Ohio; cousins Marlys Hanson (Bruce) of Rice Lake; Mike Paul of Birchwood, Jay Paul of Duluth, MN, and many more cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, C.O. and Marie Paul. For those who laughed and cried with, cared for, supported, and loved Lisa, a special and heartfelt thank you.

A public visitation will be held at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI on Saturday, October 16th, 2021 from 1-3pm, with interment in Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake.
