Larry James Doyle Age 80, of Rice Lake, WI passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Marshfield Medical Center in Rice Lake, WI. He was born on June 9, 1944 to Edward and Eileen Doyle in Paso Robles, California. After some years in Iowa and Eau Claire, WI as Ed purchased and sold hotels, the family settled in Rice Lake, WI in 1954 when Ed purchased a downtown hotel which would become the King Edward Inn. Larry attended St. Joseph School and graduated from Rice Lake High School. He served 2 years in the United States Army and then came back to Rice Lake to work in the family business - the King Edward Inn and the Best Western Inn Rice Lake.

He is survived by his sister, Patricia Sullivan of North Carolina; a sister-in-law, Jolene Doyle of Rice Lake; 2 nephews, Mark and Scott Kodesh of Southern California and his beautiful cat, Daisy. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Eileen Doyle; a dear friend and partner, Rebecca Zimmerman; and by his brother, Tom Doyle.

The family wishes to thank all of his wonderful caretakers with Inclusia, Serenity Care, Marshfield Medical Center and the Rice Lake Ambulance Crews. Private family graveside services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Rice Lake. Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI is assisting and serving the family with the arrangements.
