Larry G. Johnson, age 75, a long-time resident of Winter, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 30, 2024.

Larry was born on September 6, 1948, in Madison, Wisconsin to parents Wesley and Ethel Johnson and moved to Winter as an infant. Larry spent most of his life as a logger and log buyer and ended his working years employed by the Sawyer County Highway Department, and moved to Hayward after his retirement.

Larry is survived by his wife Susan, children: Elizabeth (John) Bechtel, Joseph (Emily) Johnson, Curtis (Sophia) Johnson, 5 grandchildren: Jayden, Max, Madeline, Mila, and Maeva, and many other extended family members.

There are no services planned at this time per Larry’s wishes.
