Kitty Beth Collins (née Klabunde), of Spooner, WI, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the age of 76 at The Spooner Health System in Spooner, WI.

Kitty was born to parents, Vernon and Anita (Daniels) Klabunde, on November 29, 1941 in Madison, WI. She grew up as the eldest of five children and attended school in Windsor, WI until her family moved to Bettendorf, IA. On March 28, 1959 she married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Collins.  In 1974, Ron and Kitty moved to Spooner, WI with their 4 children where they purchased Gunny’s Pub Tavern. They later managed Anchor Bay Resort and A & H Café.

Kitty is survived by; her son, Ronald “Scott” Collins; her daughters, Sherrie (Dennis) DeLoye and Stacie Stariha; her sister, Kristine, and brothers, Karter and Roger; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ron; her son, Steven Collins; her parents, Vernon and Anita; her brother, Ken Klabunde; her grandchildren, Jennifer DesJardins, Zac Collins; and great-grandchild, Emmelia Stariha.

A celebration of life will be held in Kitty’s honor at Lipsie Pines Tavern, County Road A, Spooner, WI on Saturday, December 8th, 2018 at 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Internment for both Kitty and Ron’s cremated remains will be in the spring of 2019 at Rocky Ridge Cemetery. The family is grateful for the condolences, but declines flowers and donations.
