Karen Ellen Rigotti, age 81, of Hayward, WI passed away Friday, December 15, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, MN.

Karen was born Karen Ellen Lindeman on August 20, 1942 in Rockford, IL to Pete and Violet (Bloomberg) Lindeman. Karen grew up in Rockford and graduated from Rockford High School, and it was in Rockford that she met and married James “Jim” Rigotti. They moved to Rochester MN, where they raised three boys, and she worked many years at IBM in Rochester in purchasing. Karen enjoyed their cabin on Grindstone Lake in Hayward, WI, and after retirement, it became their full-time home. Karen enjoyed many years of travel with Jim and her grandchildren, and also enjoyed reading and her book clubs. She loved to spend her free time swimming, snowshoeing, kayaking, and hiking with her longtime friends the Birkie Girls, and loved spending time with her friends and family.

Karen is survived by her husband Jim; three boys: Michael (Lori), Mark (Cindy), and Jon (Holly); her grandchildren: Kevin (Colleen), Kirsten (Dan), Zachary (Maragret), Nicholas, Katelyn, Joseph, and Allison (Tyler);  great-grandchildren: Ravenna, Enzo, and Memphis; sister Susan (Glen) Powell; and brother Neale (Mary Jo) Lindeman.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service for Karen will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Noon, at St Joseph Catholic Church, Hayward, WI, with a visitation held one hour prior to the service.
