In Memory of Karen D. Levorson
Our beloved Karen Diane Levorson, 67, of Chetek, Wisconsin has, sadly, left our world on Friday, June 6 2025 while at the Marshfield Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
Karen was born to Dorathy Lunders and Fred Thomson on July 2, 1957, in Macomb, Illinois. She graduated from North High School in North St Paul, Minnesota in 1975.
Karen was loved and adored by whomever was lucky enough to make her acquaintance. She could meet someone and within a matter of minutes know their life story and their name would be in her memory forever. Her infectious personality and her tight embracing hugs were truly unforgettable.
Karen’s friendships stemmed from her earlier life in Minnesota, her present life on and off the lakes of Chetek, Wisconsin, her months of sun and fun on her and her husband Mark’s Mexico vacations (where she was known to her friends as “Mama Bear”) and of course her Kentucky friendships from the Derby. Karen attended 29 Kentucky Derby’s. Her goal was to attend her 30th Derby, which somehow, we know she will be there in spirit!
Karen is survived by her loving husband, Mark Levorson, who she met at a 4th of July celebration in Forest Lake, Minnesota in 1998. They married on April 5, 2004.
Karen is survived by her mother Dorthy Lunders, daughter; Jenny Thomson, Grandchildren; Summer, Olivia, and Kennedy, great grandchildren; Carson, Gracie, Micah, Thea, and Coltleigh. Siblings; Mark (Tammy), TJ (Mechelle), Lisa (Steve), Linda, and Jerry. She is also survived by two stepsons; Ryan (Meghan) and Erik (Danni), Grandchildren; Jack, Max and Palmer, Henry and Samantha.
Karen is preceded in death by her father, Fred Thomson.
