In Memory of June Havel

May 26, 1932 - January 28, 2019

June Marie Havel, 86, of Rice Lake, passed away peacefully, with family by her side. She joined her Heavenly Father on Monday, January 28, 2019. June was born May 26, 1932 in Rice Lake, WI to Napolean and Fern (Coleman) Paradise. She was married to Melvin "Bud" Havel for 35 years; and later shared her life with George Elwood.

June was a loving, thoughtful, caring, kind-hearted soul. She loved spending time with family and friends; family gatherings were valued and treasured. These shared times gave her opportunities to make many baked goods, including her signature mints. Her love of cooking spread beyond just her family; it reached into the community. June had a heart to serve, volunteering anywhere needed. Her love for the Lord brought her peace and comfort; especially in knowing that she would be reunited with her loved ones. This love also brought many more opportunities to celebrate life with her church family.

She is survived by: 4 children: Bruce (Terri) Havel of Lake Mills; LaVonne (Lawrence Jacobsen) Stoik of Larimore, ND;  David (Vickie) Havel of Rice Lake; Larry (Ann) Havel of Rice Lake; grandchildren: Martha (Jimmy), Jason (Nicole), Annette (Brian), Jacci (Kyle), Jessie (Nick), Autumn; great grandchildren: Courtney, Tyler, Emily, Grant, Kelsey, Vienna, Eastyn, Keegan, Khloe, Beckham; siblings: Dewayne (Connie) Paradise of Wausau; Ruby (Jerry) Frolik of Dobie. Preceded in death by her significant other, George Elwood; granddaughter, Dawn Stoik; siblings, Arnold Paradise, Mina Traicoff, Virgil "Jack" Paradise, Alice Gafner, LaVerne "Whitey" Paradise.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Skinner Funeral Home - Rice Lake visitation at 10 AM, service at 11 AM, with lunch to follow. A private family burial will be held at Nora Cemetery in the spring.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dove Healthcare and Hospice for their tender love and care provided to June while she was on her journey home.
